General Surgery
People who need a general surgeon may have gallbladder disease, hernias, skin masses that require excisions and biopsies, appendectomies, colon, and small bowel resections, and gastric resections, as well as breast, thyroid, and parathyroid problems. Beyond this, Dr. Danthuluri routinely performs endoscopy and EGD procedures when necessary for the preoperative evaluation of bariatric weight loss and anti-reflux surgery patients.
General Surgery typically focuses on abdominal ORGANS including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix, bile ducts, and sometimes the spleen and adrenal glands, too. Dr. Danthuluri can perform thyroid surgery, various in-office ultrasound assessments, and uses ultrasound-guided procedures for a variety of common minor general surgical problems. He can remove small and medium-sized soft tissue lumps and bumps while doing so in the office, such as sebaceous cysts or lipomas.
As a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Danthuluri provides the comprehensive diagnostic, preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of patients with gastroenterological, colon, and rectal problems.
